Cardiac Rehabilitation
Cardiac rehabilitation is a multidisciplinary medically supervised program that provides individualized exercise, education, and support for lifestyle modification for people with heart problems. The program is overseen by highly trained/ACLS certified healthcare professionals under the direction of a physician. A physician referral is required for participation.
Who needs Cardiac Rehabilitation?
People who are recovering from a heart attack,
heart bypass surgery, angioplasty, heart valve surgery,
heart transplant, and those with stable angina, should
be part of a cardiac rehabilitation program.
Also, anyone at risk for developing coronary
artery disease may benefit from a team
approach to education and exercise.
