This area is designed with your convenience in mind and to reduce your waiting time. The goal is to quickly assess your urgent care needs and have you treated by a board-certified doctor within 30 minutes of your arrival.
The six-bed Fast Track center includes an onsite X-ray room with access to MRI and CAT scan equipment if needed. The Fast Track center staffs a health care provider to diagnose and treat minor illnesses and injuries and to promptly get patients in and out of the center. Also, the center staffs emergency room physicians to assess and manage emergency care needs, including ambulance traffic, through the North Cypress emergency room.
For minor injuries and illnesses, the North Cypress Fast Track Emergency Program is available. It is open 7 days a week from 11am – 11pm and offers reduced waiting times. Upon entering the ER, patients will be triaged and if deemed a minor injury, they will be routed through our Fast Track system. Minor emergencies can include the following:
- Cuts, tears, or puncture wounds
- Sprain, broken bones or dislocation
- Occupational minor injuries
- Fever, rashes, colds / flu
- Simple motor vehicle injuries
- Eye injuries
- Minor burns
- Allergic reactions, allergies, asthma
- Insect bites and stings
