In our pre-surgery joint classes, you will learn the mechanics of the joint and how they relate to your procedure. Each patient will receive a handbook that lets you know what to do prior to surgery, what to expect during your stay, and how to care for yourself afterward. Classes are for you and a family member/friend and take place at varied times during the week. Discharge planning is taken care of in advance and includes efforts to ensure a safe home environment. Be sure to have transportation set up for someone to take you home from the hospital before you are admitted.
