We are very grateful to the very special people that serve as our hospital volunteers. They provide a variety of services and help many departments. Some provide patient and visitor assistance and many work behind the scenes providing clerical support. The departments listed below can use the help of our energetic volunteers, with the following new opportunities:
- Information Desk
Friday mornings 9am-1pm
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday afternoons from 1-5pm or 12-4pm
- Security Department
- Assist our Security Department in keeping the patients, visitors and staff safe through monitoring our security cameras from inside the hospital.
Day shifts (morning and afternoon) available.
- Human Resources
- Med/Surg Nursing
- Emergency Department
- Quality/Risk Management
- Medical Records
- Cath Lab
- Outpatient Surgery
- Cancer Center
- Outpatient Lab
Qualifications for Hospital Volunteers
To serve as a hospital volunteer, we ask that applicants be 18 or older and commit to an assignment of at least once a week for a four hour block of time.
Benefits of Volunteering
Besides the sense of joy and accomplishment folks get for helping others, hospital volunteers receive cafeteria and gift shop discounts, free annual flu shots and TB tests.
